| Seit 1975 unterstützt das Evangelische Missionswerk in Deutschland (EMW) ökumenisch-theologische Ausbildung in Asien, Afrika, Lateinamerika, in der Karibik und der Pazifik. Zu den geförderten Aufgaben gehören die Grundausbildung von Theologinnen und Theologen, die Aus- und Fortbildung von Dozentinnen und Dozenten an theologischen Ausbildungsstätten, die theologische Ausbildung von Laien sowie die Herausbildung kontextueller Theologien.

St. Pauls University, Limuru, Kenia
| St. Paul’s is an ecumenical private chartered university founded in 1903. It is located along Nairobi-Limuru Route A, 30kms from Nairobi, next to Jumuia Conference and Country Home, in a cool and serene environment that is very conducive for the learning process. After meeting the set requirements, St. Paul’s was registered as a private University by the Commission for Higher Education, thus formally allowing it to offer its own degree programmes. The university was awarded its charter on September 14, 2007.
