Who we are

The Association of Protestant Churches and Missions in Germany is an umbrella organisation. Its members are the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD), Protestant Free Churches, regional mission centres and departments and various mission associations and societies. EMW has 24 full members. In addition EMW has also ten Associate Partners which are able to take advantage of certain services provided by the EMW. EMW member has its own historical links with partners in the ecumenical community, but each of them needs to cooperate in some areas with the other members. The EMW can be of assistance here by providing a structure which also helps overseas churches to find the right contacts in Germany.
