Study on the German evangelist Reinhard Bonnke is available in English
The impulse for the short study on the German evangelist Reinhard Bonnke came primarily from African theologians. Over the past few years EMW's African partners have spoken with increasing frequency about Reinhard Bonnke, i.e. to those responsible within the churches and mission agencies in Germany for maintaining relations with African churches and ecumenical institutions. They congratulated us, as the representatives of German churches, on having such an effective preacher and evangelist doing this good work in Africa. When it became obvious that we were reluctant to accept such praise, and apparent that our reservations were of a theological nature, our partners found this difficult to understand.
